The final week of the trip will consist of a SERVICE LEARNING PROJECT IN CHIANG MAI, THAILAND. WE WILL BE WORKING TO DEVELOP A SCHOOL IN FANG DISTRICT LOCATED ALONG THE BORDER WITH MYANMAR.
The school serves the children of the nearby hill tribe workers
During our one week homestay with a local family, we will be volunteering with a National Government Organization (NGO) to help build better educational facilities for the local children.
Chiang Mai is the largest city in Northern Thailand and has a population of nearly 1 million in the province. It is also home to many hill tribe people who make up over 13% in the region.
We will take a one-hour flight from Bangkok and drive 2.5 hours to the school and village homestay.
